DDC “Other Worlds”

“If We Are Possible…So Is Everything Else!”

MY MIND HAS BEEN ELSEWHERE: And I documented those meanderings into a new project that got weird…and quick…welcome to DDC OTHER WORLDS!

And out of it came this little cosmic quip: “IF WE ARE POSSIBLE…SO IS EVERYTHING ELSE.” We dream, speculate and hope there’s life out there somewhere, right? Of course. And yet when you study galactic distances and the physics (5th grade level, of course) of just how far we are from EVERYTHING, there’s this fleeting quality that for as much as we reach for the stars, we should be equally pondering the magical, mystical improbability of humans, and the extraordinary animals we share the planet with.

My mind floated to weird places in this project. From exotic worlds with exotic landscapes to tarantulas to cellular psychedelia to geometric tesseracts…and when I got back home it reminded me to appreciate the beauty around us here on Mother Earth.

Let’s get lost in Other Worlds! Hell, I might not come back!

Product Description:
MY MIND HAS BEEN ELSEWHERE: Which is oddly refreshing. It’s weird to exist. I find myself daydreaming more and more. So I‘ve tried to explore new realms—be it learning about tarantula defense mechanisms, the unapologetic math of galactic distances, color exploration and the most beautiful desert plant I’ve even seen. I’m slowly teaching myself to explore, embrace and in turn, exist in other worlds. At least in my mind, on my walks and in between projects...and I’ve tried to capture each twist and turn along the way which you’ll see expressed in this surreal set. I’ve been lost in other worlds...and I haven’t quite figured out if I want to come back. —Aaron James Draplin, Age: 53, Mother Earth
