No Idea What "Nehalem" Means

MORE FIREPOWER: The machine's been lagging a bit. So we went and did something about it. I bought a 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon tower back in back in the summer of 2007 and the thing has been incredible to me the whole time. It's been a good rig. Shit's chuggin' in Bridge and Photoshop these days, so it's time to step things up, and that's what I did. I settled a 2.66GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon with a "Nehalem" processor, whatever the hell that is. Lots of "tech talk," eh? I'm always trying to stay versed in this shit. This stuff powers a big part of my life, so I gotta take this shit seriously. That box connects me to the world. So in the new machine I'll have 8GB of RAM, a 640GB internal hard drive for system software, and then a 1TB internal hard drive for everything else. That and two sets of external hard drives to back all the shit up. Phew. Lots of data. But that's how the shit's gotta be.Next step is grabbing a new Laptop. The one I have now is from 2006, and has been a gem, but it's starting to hiccup here and there, and well, the time is right for a new one of those too. So it goes. No debate on these tools. You can get busy cryin' about pricing, or just plain get busy. I choose the latter.- - - -DAYWRECKER WARNING: A huge pile of old razor blade packaging. Very, very sharp. You were warned.
