Before I go and jinx myself, I think I might be climbing out of the depths of head cold depravity. Last night, the pressure almost drove me nuts. Today, there’s a fun clicking in my left ear with each bite swallowed. Regarding colds: “Lots of fun. -DDC”

BOLETO ARGENTINO: I’ve got no idea what the hell they are saying, but have eyes and can see the evolution of the Argentinian bus tickets very clearly in this incredible link: “A history of Argentina’s transportation tickets.” Some incredible typographic history there. Southern Hemisphere, people. (Sent in by Bill Zindel of Wicked Cobra Family of Artistic Brands.)

FOR MR. GRAVES: What lurks in the woods of the wild Northwest?! Respect, sir. (Leigh dug this one up, in a moment of divine glory.)

THIS ONE COMES IN FROM STYK, TO THE NORTH OF US: “Vintage Saul Bass matchbook covers for Hunt-Wesson.” And of course, we marvel at the beauty and genius inherent, but, I actually have a couple of these from an old matchbook lot I picked up years ago.

The “P” vine/flower graphic you see here. I singled it out of my pile and have always marveled at it. And man, Saul Bass did it! Incredible. Funny how these things work.

KING OF THE BREEDS: Check out this perky little hotdog right here. Good form, buster! (Thank you, Mr. Cecil!)

THESE RINGS ALWAYS CATCH MY EYE OUT THERE: Allied Van Lines.

ON THE PLAYER:

01. Guided By Voices - Isolation Drills
02. Blitzen Trapper - Furr
03. Pavement - Quarantine The Past
