RECOMMENDED: The burger at Joe’s Friendly Tavern in Empire, Mich. There you go. Pretty serious stuff. Had a nice supper there tonight with Mom, Dad and Leigh.

Then we drove over to the dunes overlook and hiked up to look out over Lake Michigan, to the west. The highlight of that little excursion was watching some little shit go trucking down the dunes, full-bore, and then completely eat shit face first into the sand. Ouch. Lot of laughs for all onlookers.

Then we drove home and watched Planes, Trains and Automobiles and laughed all the way through it. Thank you, Mr. Hughes.
