TURBULENCE ALWAYS FREAKS ME OUT:
The online Museum of Flight,
and their collection of airline logos.

The first one is the best.

(This one is from George, who’s down here working on Union with Marty and I.)

THE DDC FACTORY FLOOR BEAMS WITH PRIDE TODAY: Here’s an article about me from Creativity Online! It was fun getting to know Nick via email, and answering all his questions. Hope you guys dig it. Did my best to make my mom and dad proud, and, ruffle the right feathers. Always.

BEST THING I’VE SEEN ALL WEEK: Craig from Guppy Design up there in Winnipeg wrote in and had this to say, ” I found this Canadian Design book from 1970 last weekend, so I scanned it and posted for the world.”

What a wealth of greatness from our neighbors up North. A magical place. Great logos up there. Craig, now that you’ve got that thing scanned, here’s what you need to do next: Put the thing in an envelope and send it the loving hands of the DDC! Ha!

Thanks for scanning those in. Much appreciated.

FOR YOUR iPHONE CONTRAPTION: “A set of apps that mimic the way ’70s photos age.” Just like it says. So good.

YOU KNOW, “FOR THE KIDS”: I got up in front of 40 kids and told them about how much of an animal I am. It was pretty fun. Thanks, PNCA.

WHATEVER’S COOL WITH ME: “Dinosaur Jr talks about how they recorded the new album.” or, “What the Studio looks like at J’s house in Massachusetts.”

And, for the record, I completely excuse all “use of purple” in the Dinosaur Jr canon.

I still love those old Dinosaur Jr records. They really hit on some stuff. Fueled me for years.

ON THE PLAYER RIGHT GODDAMN NOW: Bill Callahan’s latest, “Sometimes I Wish I Were An Eagle.” Great title. So many great albums out there. Hard to keep track of it all. Not enough time in the day. Not enough hours to listen to all this stuff. And by the way, this album is really, really good.
