YOU BET: Up early and at it here in Minneapolis.

That’s the poster for the show up above! A “very limited edition” sort of thing made possible by Burlesqueâ„¢ North America. Holy shit, guys. Thank you. Mike’s downstairs right now getting the films ready for this thing. Real excited to see it come to life. My little tribute to Minnesota. All the stuff I love about the place. Packed it all in. They are selling for $25 tomorrow night. A good price. Roughly $6.25 per pass of ink. Not bad. Thick paper. Going fast. They’ll be selling them at the show, and then on the Burlesqueâ„¢ site afterwards.

POSTER SPECIFICS:

01. 24” x 30” on the thickest paper they could get into the press.
02. 4-color. “Gary Turd Brown” “Apple Cider Sorta Brown” “DDC Orange” and “Amber Waves Yellow”
03. Very Limited Edition of 150 or so.
04. I’m gonna sign each and everyone of them.
05. Everything I love about this state.
06. For Minnesota.
07. You need this.

SOME SERIOUS INK, PEOPLE: Precision moves for the printing of the poster come from Ben in the print shop. Ben’s got a 13-year-old beard. So beardy. So good. Next time you find yerself wondering about all the cool printed shit from Burlesqueâ„¢, think, “Ben is the guy behind it.” Then think about that beard again. Incredible. I’m in good hands. So thankful.

COMING TOGETHER: Posters printing. T-shirts printing. Things going up on a big-ass orange wall. Today is the final push and man, I’m excited as hell for tomorrow night. Gonna be a fun one. Tomorrow night. Someone call Westerberg, goddammit.

GOOD WORDS: We got a little write-up in the City Pages! That shit’s awesome.

ON THE PLAYER:

01. Melvins from Wes.
02. KRS One from Mike.
03. Wheezing trucks out on Stinson Boulevard.

My grandfather, Einar Antonson, who was a lifelong resident of Duluth Minnesota had a standard reply to almost every comment: “Real good, real good”. To see that those two words gracing the lower left corner of that poster brings a big smile.

In a slightly related note - my grandmother Elna Antonson worked as a nurse with famous Minnesotan Bob Dylan’s mom. She referred to him as ‘the Zimmerman boy who got into music’.

I’m gonna’ need me one of those posters! Awesome. Totally reminds me of spending summers on Lake Harriet (one of the 10,000), pumping water for money, and hustlin’ for ice cream and bikini glances. Reminiscent gold for a 10-year-old.

Amazing map-logo poster. Well done. You should have a series—-one for every state.

Very nice and I especially like that you included the old North Stars logo, I haven’t gotten over that loss and still can’t bring myself to don any Wild apparel. Sorry I missed the party but will definitely take in the show.
