I’m so high on the last couple days, I can’t really put my words together properly. Here’s some of my attempts at documenting all the riff raff inside my thinker the last couple days.

- - - -

A President to believe in.

I believe again.

And this morning, I am so proud to be an American.

44th President of the United States of America.

44. I’ve always like that number.

It’s like a weight has been lifted off the shoulders of the country.

I mean, no matter what side you are on, how can you not see the beauty in what went down last night?

History. For all of us.

Watching Senator McCain’s honorable concession speech, and to hear the booing, and man, I just kinda feel sorry for the folks who don’t feel the pride, hope and new beginning that I feel, that a little over half of American feels.

President Barack Obama.

President Barack Obama.

Every time I say it to myself, I can’t help but just sorta lose it. I mean, I am excited to see what this guy is capable of here, and abroad.

President Brack Obama.

And I’m confident he can take on the challenges he’s facing on his first day in office.

A family man.

A role model.

Top of his class.

World class.

Left-handed. Goddamn straight.

Articulate.

Beating the odds.

Mr. President.

An intelligence that is contageious, inspiring and soothing.

This incredible feeling of relief. My steps were a little lighter this morning.

Reading the Constitution and feeling the words pulsing with new life.

Such a great logo.

And man, “Gotham Bold” all over the place. Bravo.

Joe Biden’s foreign policy experience.

President Brack Obama.

First Lady Michele Obama.

Sasha and Malia.

He made history.

The first African-American President.

You earned my vote.

Obama/Biden 364 - McCain/Palin 174

64,688,689 votes for Barack Obama.

The peaceful transfer of power.

President Obama.

SOME VITRIOL:

I feel sorry for Senator McCain. I mean, I feel like the soundbytes we heard and the attacks weren’t his, but the last ditch attempt of a dying strain of the Republican party pushing him along, calling the shots, choking him off. I feel bad for the guy. He lost the thing, but, it’s like it wasn’t his. I miss the John McCain I thought I knew. He morphed into something new, and it didn’t work. It couldn’t work.

However, I don’t feel anything for Sarah Palin. Go home. Be a good Governor. Be a good mom. Stop shooting wolves from helicopters or whatever.

“Guess what Karl, I just got news that the state of Ohio has gone to Barack Obama.” -Fox News’ Brit Hume to that snake Karl Rove, and a big electoral map with lots of blue filling in.

Nice post, man.

AMEN Draplin. You’ve conveyed what a lot of us are feeling. Now if I can divert Palin to Russia…

It’s 365-174 now that we here in Nebraska have split and given one electoral vote to a Democrat for the first time in 40 years.

I’m a very proud Nebraskan today.

I am finally happy. Just thinking about what we achieved gives me goosebumps and chills. Plus our new President loves Dylan! I am so proud, so hopeful.

You’re not the only one to think these thoughts. I stood next to an elderly man who was openly weeping while he and several thousand of us were watching the acceptance speech on a big screen at the Lane County Fairgrounds. He wasn’t the only one crying, either. I’ll never forget that moment as long as I live.

Now I know what it’s like to wake up after an eight year long nightmare!
