Flat File Migration
Posted at 10:00 AM

Dale and I moved the flat files down to the new joint this afternoon.

Much cussing, sweating, arguing and making amends ensued.

STATUS REPORT: The flat files are in the building, assembled, cleaned up, oiled ready for business.

Oh yeah, and we hit up a flea market up towards St. John’s that just might’ve had the best pile of scores in I don’t know how long. A long time. I walked away with a grocery bag full of treasures, of which I will be sharing this upcoming week. Holy hell. Some great items.

And just to think this stuff was just sorta, uh, “out there,” kicking around some in the back of an old man’s truck, patiently waiting for its chance to make it to safety, into the loving, thankful hands of the DDC Archives.

It’s this kind of stuff that keeps us up late into the night, sweating out all the kick-ass stuff out there that needs a home. Our pledge: “We’re coming for ya, guys. Hold tight.”

The image above is from a matchbook scored at the flea market. There you go.
