Tanker Fever

Been shopping for a desk for the ranch. With all the gear into the new joint, I’m without a desk to sit down and do correspondence, or, dream up the next big mission on. I will definitely doing some sort of “Tanker Desk” and this joint basically “took the cake” in my research travels on the web. Wow.

Evan took me to this joint about a couple years ago, and I remember drooling over a number of Steelcase gems.

Now is our time to act. And of course, years behind all the saavy furniture collectors and parasites looking to price these treasures so far out of the water, and out of our grasp. Goddammit. Some venom for you. Please accept our apology for losing our cool.

It’s just tough to know that there are folks with the time to hunt this stuff down, give it a spit shine and then put a pricetag on it that would make any one of us weep. The vintage game. Damn.

More steel beauty at this store down south: Steel Casey.

A pretty good pile of roller rink labels.

Dude, if you’re in need of some basically free vintage steel office shit and are willing to move it from Wisconsin, I have a great source. E-mail me and let me know what exactly you’re looking for.

I’ve got info on a place in the bay area that’s got crazy good pricing on original finish steelcase. Picked up a near mint tanker several years ago for $150. Might be worth strapping on a uhaul and coming down here. Drop me a mail if interested.
