BLAST FROM THE PAST: 7 Seconds - Ourselves. I had it on tape. You know, from 1987, where punk bands went a little more, uh, “friendly,” and even, “melodic,” and just…”nicer” to listen to. Something like that. Dag Nasty’s Field Day comes to mind also, and, man, I love these albums. I just file this shit under, “Skate Rock.” It reminds me of skateboarding. Dag Nasty, Descendents, 7 Seconds, etc.

I remember walking to class with this tape in my walkman. That would’ve been 1989.

A little taste of an upcoming documentary on the Heyday Minneapolis’ First Avenue. The Replacements footage is especially good.

LITTLE_FIELD_NOTE_ICON.gif Speaking of those Twin Cities, Tucker Gerritt talks up Field Notes some on Typoscura. Welcome to the Sheet Team, man.

Hey Aaron, how much for the picks? I would love to have ‘em for me and the Bros. By the way, the song I wrote for you, “Drivin’ On”, is almost finished. It was inspired by reading your website and your 2004 Route 66 trip you and your Dad took.
I was impressed how well written your adventures were. I hope I captured in the lyrics the essence of the trip. I’ll send you a CD as soon as were done…..Uncle Pat
