Draplin Design Co., North America

Every now and again Jim Coudal back in Chicago will get me tangled into something awesome. First we did those fiesty SHHH cards, and sleeves are being rolled up on a “yet to be announced completely top secret” project.

As of this morning, as the morning fog burned off that Chicago Skyline, I’m a Coudal Field Tester in their “2006 Field Tested Books” series.

Check out my entry, and, all you outsdoorsy folks up in Anchorage, be sure to watch yer back in the woods this summer: “Alaska Bear Tales” by Larry Kaniut, field-tested by Aaron James Draplin.

This is “absolute goddamn required viewing” by all reading this blog.

Paul Brown, freedom fighter, illustrator, designer, husband, Program employee and father, sent this little one in: We give you, “Little Ava Brown”. Yes!

SADNESS: My Canon SD450 Digi Elph shit the bed. Feeling sad. Only had the thing for six fuckin’ months. There’s a mean dent on the case, shrouded in mystery, from my trip up to Whistler a couple months back. No idea how that happened, but, then again, when considering the SNOWBOARD magazine ruffians I was holing up with, well, ya just never know. Pretty bummed, actually. Might have to go settle the SD630 now.

You remember Stompers, right? You better. Fond, fond memories of these little buggers, tooling around under the big tree just west of our house in Central Lake.
