Basically, with each job I finish up, I reward myself with a little treasure off eBay. Today’s treasure is titled, “VINTAGE PAINT BY NUMBER PHEASANTS” and went for the $10.95. We would’ve “paid double” just to prove a point. Good stuff. A fine addition.

Updated the “Loose Affiliations” section something fierce. Linked up, man.

what the hell is a brass rat?

(It’s an event called a “SHOOT” where these Cops and Vietnam Vets shoot up bowling pins for prizes. They’d shoot shit up, the dust would settle and a small, ugly network of little shits would go out and collect the spent shells—sometimes still hot—to be recycled. -DDC)

I shit you not I painted this as a kid. Not this one in your hands as mine was not painted enough by the numbers to be passable, nor did I have the attention span to actually finish it, but I remember the birch trees and the smell of the paint like it was yesterday, not 30 years ago. Thanks for the memories.
