DDC 50: Day 47, Still Bummed
Posted at 09:13 PM

Still bummed.

Trying to forget.

Trying times ahead.

I find myself in complete disbelief.

I had so much hope for a new start.

We finished the mag today. Baker flew home. Mark, Liz and Little Sascha packed up their RV, and I headed back to the parental compound after a seven day marathon design fest.

Phew. Thanks guys, see you in December. Good work. Thanks to Campbell for the space.

Heading down to Detroit tomorrow morning. My Great Uncle Jess passed on earlier this week. The last of my Gramma Leos siblings, Uncle Jess raspy, contagious laugh will forever be in my thinker.

Itll be nice to see everyone from the family, do some catching up, do some remembering.

This ones for you, Uncle Jess.

Great seeing you again Aaron. I hope you and your smarty pants mag buddies start working on the new magazine I proposed to you “11”. You KNOW what
I mean. Later………Uncle Pat

Yeah, I know what you mean about disbelief. Not just with the President, but with the House and Senate. Then it gets scarier when you realize how many Supreme Justices will probably retire due to age soon.

I have a student who is gay (same relationship for NINE years) and doing design work on that subject matter. At least with the Presidential election…you had so many in numbers vote the other way. 48% is no small number.

The referendums on gay marriages met with such overwhelming defeats…even here at Draplin origin state of Michigan and we voted against Bush!

I can’t imagine the sense of disillusionment the designer I mention must feel.
