WE HAD BIG, DUMB TOURIST SANDWICHES TODAY: And man, that pastrami was good. Slathered with yellow, yellow mustard. This was after visiting our buddy Chip Kidd. We talked books, books and books. Chip’s office is PACKED with awesome stuff. So cool. We talked Cormac McCarthy and Chip pulled out notes from Cormac regarding the cover design of The Road. I about died. I’m a big Cormac fan, and the idea of working closely with a monolith like that him blows my gourd. Those books are my favorites. Getting to know Chip, you just sorta forget how much incredible work he’s done. It’s staggering.
