Spoke with Ryno a bit today, and he had this much to say, in so many words: “Buy American.”

We back that one with everything we’ve got. Pass it on.

GOOD PLACE TO START: Here at A Continuous Lean’s impressive and growing “The American List.”

Kinda random, but one of the names on the American List is a brand I love to endorse: Randolph Engineering. Honestly, I would’ve bought their shades had they been made in Germany or Japan, but I was floored to see they were made in MA. Don Draper even wears ‘em, need I say more?

All of these lists never include Buddy’s Jeans. I’ve read some criticisms about them on some of the snobbier Denim sites but at 30 bucks I tried a pair. I was surprised at how much I liked them. They are completely made in the US and are durable work pants. Check out buddysjeans.com. I’m in no way affiliated with them, I’m just exited about their product. They also come with a copy of the new testament in the back pocket, no shit.

I appreciate this dude’s pro-American sentiment, but his introductory paragraph makes him come off as an elitist prick. Having shopped online for American-Made stuff this season, I’m well aware of the fact that most of these sites are not slickly designed for or by savvy art pricks, but calling these sites “tacky,” and “awful” is a dick move. When the lunch pail folks are turning away from progressive ideas for the sake of short-term self preservation, educated liberals don’t help matters by mocking the “hillbillies” we think we’re fighting for.

Does that include automobiles?

This country is going to the shitter.. Besides, don’t 90% of the clients you do work for produce their products overseas? Also didn’t you just buy a Volvo?
