Racing To Split For Mankato

One last day of “getting as much done as possible before I split” around the shop and back at the domicile. The day before any trip I go on is always a real hellride. Just par for the course.

Up above is a nasty little “S” logo spotted in the trash near the guitar shop. Just something that caught my eye. Always eyeball the trash, people. You just never know.

You’ve stumbled across the logo of Seymour Duncan, manufacturer of excellent guitar pickups. Good stuff.

The graphic on that piece of cardboard is very similar to this book that I have: http://www.flickr.com/photos/andymangold/4891596481/in/set-72157624600605299/

I wonder if there is any relationship?

Seymour Duncan logo. You might end up needing some Duncans for your Tele. But if you end up going that route of replacing I recommend some custom hand wound Don Mare. He used to BE the custom shop at Seymour Duncan, making pickups for the guitar stars. Now he makes his own. I have one of his in the bridge of my Tele and it sounds darn nice.
