MY DAD TAUGHT ME TO USE THIS SHIT ON EVERYTHING: WD-40 gets it right and offers “retro packaging” at fine retail establishments across the land.

Take a walk down WD-40’s memory lane, well-lubed of course.

Hey WD-40: Scrap the contemporary cans and go back to the old one. Imagine what garage shelves looked like 50 years ago! Just, “No bullshit.” There you go.

And hey, if you were ever wondering just what the fuck WD-40 stood for, well, now you know. So good.

(A well-oiled thank you to Jason Kress and Blake Adams for gracing our inbox with this development.)

WHILE WE’RE ON THE SUBJECT OF “LUBE”: Other contemporary automotive lubrication solutions. Just for the logos.

JAPAN, A LAND OF MYSTERY: Along the lines of questions like this: “How do they do pull off simplicity so well?” Well, here’s one of those site where we are equal parts blown away, and equal parts confused. Inspired, and puzzled.

Be patient. It take awhile to load, but is WELL worth it.

Here goes: The mighty Mucu makes awesome paper products and accessories. In a land far, far away.

Find the ballpoint pen, look it over, then punch yerself in the face, cuz who knows how those guys pulled that one off. Man. Really good.

And here’s a janky Yen conversion portal, if you want to crunch some numbers. (Thank you, Mr. Cruz!)

QUITE A MOUTHFUL: So my so-called “business partner” David Hisashi Nakamoto (another mouthful) is going to be in a museum show. His old Reno band “Freakazoid Robot 2000” just might be having a couple of their old 7-inches in the upcoming “The Wrong Side of Reno -Three Decades of Punk and Hardcore Music in the Biggest Little City.” Phew, one more mouthful.

I’ve been on the “wrong side of Reno,” alright. Tough town! Congrats, Dave. Cool news.

AN OLD ONE, FROM TEXAS: “Genuine Texas Beauty Specials.” Think about the last time you filled out an online form or whatever, then think about filling out that coupon and putting it into an envelope with secured funds and mailing it off, etc. So hopeful. Then, get sad, cuz we’ve lost so much magic. (Thanks, Scott!)

fn_county_fair_colors.gif BOX SET! BOX SET! BOX SET!: Photographic proof, people! Get one before they are gone. Going fast. All the states. Colorful. Brings back memories. Makes new ones. Fun for the whole family. Hot items. Sturdy box. Extras. Act now.

STILL ON THE PLAYER: It’s been on “repeat” alllll morning.

WD-40, canned right here in Lefty home base Stoughton, Wisconsin.

Took a sneak peak in the warehouse a few years back and was surprised to see stacks and stacks of those blue cans piled 15 feet high.

I own 3/5ths of the records featured on the page for that exhibit. Zoinks was definitely one of the best bands of the 90’s.

Way back before my time, the story goes, my grandpa used to spray it on his knees because it’s good for joints. Really happened.

WD 40 is just now catching on. Their rival PB Blaster has had it right from day one. Check out their can. http://www.blastercorporation.com/PB_Blaster.html#

If you like MUCU you’ll love postalco.net
They make some wonderful artist-crafted stationery goods. Their envelopes are especially awesome.
