This is what I made on my day off: A work table for the garage and driveway. After way too many times using my trash cans or recycling bin to work on the weedwacker or cut down cardboard for the recycling, the time was right to make an ample utility desk unit.

And man, I built the thing like a brick shithouse! So overdone. Lag bolts, screws, etc. 3/4” plywood top. Shelf down below to hold whatever the hell I need holding. Just something I can drag out into the driveway to hold, hell, I don’t know, uh…rags and shit while cleaning the car. Or for fixing things. Or for tinkering on things. Whatever the deal.

I built it. My own two hands, and some help from Leigh. (Thanks, girl.) How about that, Dad?

As my shop teacher probably would’ve said, “Any project you finish with all yer fingers intact is a good one.”

Yeah, that does look tight, but put some locking casters on that fucker or you’ll just get sick to death of carrying it. Nice work!

That little beauty looks like it was fun to make.

Yea, real nice. Throw some castors on at least on end of it. It’ll make dragging it around a whole lot easier.

Skegger beat me to it, but yeah, locking industrial casters to save yourself a herniated disk. Looks just like the stuff my Dad used to make, nicely crafted and overbuilt, hell yes!
