GOOD DIRT: The image above is for Leigh. She’s been doing a real job on the yard, bringing the place up to speed. Thank you, girl. Very appreciated. Manure. Lots of manure. Thanks. (Thanks for sending in, Andrew!)

WE’RE FEELING EVERY PART OF THIS: One bad-ass rattlesnake warning sign. But that’s just graphically speaking. The part regarding the possibility of “real, live rattlesnakes” is another story. But man, the color, illustration and type is something to savor. Really nice.

And, I’m sure some bloated state, province or whatever is hard at work at finding a way to redesign it, and in the process, completely fucking the thing up, losing whatever Bendall loved about it, enough to send it to me. Thanks to Darin, but no thanks to whatever turd in whatever bureaucratic position gets stuck with the update, and that day, wanting to get home to whatever forgettable life they are living, half-asses the sign design, completely missing the point that their shitfuck solution will be up in the forest for a long, long time.

Uplifting, right?

PRESS BUTTON: “Hand Dryers from Around the World” Awesome, awesome, awesome. Get in there and get dry.

We went to Target over the weekend and man, the hand dryers in their shitters are the pretty serious. I’d know, after wrecking shop in there.

WE GET SOME PRESS: The DDC on Shayboarder.com! We let it fly on matters concerning “throwing it all away and moving out west” and “what it takes to make a living” and “how lucky I am to do this stuff” and “what school really means in the big picture” and other loose-lipped verbage. Very proud to be on there. Cool blog for the shred world. Thanks, Shay! Have a rippin’ summer.

THE STORY ON YESTERDAY’S FEATURED IMAGE: That CBC logo. Some clarification. Man, get a load of that stuff! I’ll take the van! Incredible. Man, where’d we go wrong? (Thank you, Tim Winters. Hell yes.)

HERE’S A QUICK ONE TO ROUND OUT THE DAY: CD on one side, playable record on the other. Wow. (Real good, Schille, real good.)

ON THE PLAYER:

01. Tobacco - Maniac Meat
02. June of 44 - Tropics and Meridians
03. Urge Overkill - Saturation (one of our “moving West” records…)

If Leigh feels like keeping it organic, have a look at Harvard’s organic landscaping website. Their facilities management dudes practice what they preach, with incredible results.

http://www.uos.harvard.edu/fmo/landscape/organiclandscaping/

The site has great explanations / directions.
