AS FAST AS WE COULD GET THE SHOTS PROCESSED: “Leah + Jacob’s New Arrival.”

It’s 4:58 in the “P.M” here, and the little guy is a mere 3.67 hours hold. Mom, dad and little baby are resting, with Grandmother Lauren watching over the whole thing. An army of gentle doulas are taking good care of everyone.

Just across the river, a new little life begins. Kind of cosmic, really.

I’m an Uncle! It’s official. I cried like a baby in there at first sight of my little baby sister, and her laying there all exhausted and glowing, surrounded by her little family. Big ol’ crocodile tears. Bigger they are, hard they fall.

They are working on naming the thing now.

My votes are for the following monikers:

01. Gary James Ashley. (After his cousin.)
02. Randall James Ashley. (Randy, get out of the trash!)
03. Aaron Aaron Ashley.
04. Freedomchild Bluesky Ashley.
05. Cobra Dogs Ashley.
06. Barack James Ashley.

Congrats to Leah + Jacob and Baby “______.”

So good. Man, awesome. Love this shit. I still think they should give him the first name of Draplin. Or Cory. Or Cobra. Whatever. As long as he doesn’t have your breathe. Or face. Or sense of humor….

Congrats to your family, Aaron! Super happy for you all.

Awesome! (in the truest sense of the word).

Babies have a way of cutting through all that macho bs, so no need to feel bad about that. Since our son was born 17 months ago, I get all squishy inside when I see babies.

Do they make ABC blocks in Futura Bold?

Oh man I’m all over the tearing up action, being a father will do that to you. CONGRATULATIONS TO LEAH, BABY AND BABYDADDY!!!

And naming actual new human beings is a big job, it took us a while after he was born to settle on ‘Jake.’ When you know it, you know it, it’s on.

Tell Leah to give me a call for any advice / depressingly detailed rants on baby carrying options.

Congrats.
By the way, crocodile tears are fake or insincere tears. I’m guessing that’s not what you were trying to convey in your post.
Just didn’t want you to be misunderstood!

Congrats to all……..brings me back a few years when we were all waiting for the “grand entrance” of his mama. How excited we all were then and of course are now. Can’t wait to meet Oliver…..Love the name…..we’re so happy for all of you. Sounds to me like Uncle Aaron is going to love having Oliver in his life………Love to all….G & S.
