No links today. Ears are still ringing.

Last night’s dancing show with the Jesus Lizard was just what I needed.

Rock, people.

The best live act.

- A couple notes in and a flying Yow. Beautiful.
- Mr. Sims’ pounding bass. The best. Still.
- Mr. Denison’s precision. Swagger.
- Mr. McNeilly’s sweat. Very appreciated.

You better see ‘em while you can, if you know what’s good for you. And don’t be afraid to get up close and personal with that Yow.

Best thing I’ve seen all year, fuckers.

SOME IMAGES FROM THE OUTING, IN FULL COLOR:

01. “Opening barrage.”
02. “Connecting with Mr. Yow.”
03. “This exact moment was rather loud.”
04. “Someone call a paramedic!”
05. “Connecting with the Portland fan base.”
06. “Ladies and Gentleman: Portland’s Bob Smith, Jesus Lizard Fan No. 0001.”

I’m still blasting that shit 2 days later. Right now I’m fixated on how gd tough David Wm. Sims basslines are; Monsterously fat and tight.
I’d actually put JL in the same thought as the Beatles and Zep — as in, I couldn’t imagine anyone else in their respective roles; it wouldn’t be that band, and I wouldn’t go out to see them. They just make me smile..

This is one band I never listened to. Is there a particular album I should give a listen to or all they all pretty amazing?

This is certainly my favorite band, I just like almost everything these people have made , but the earliest material continues to be some of the greatest songs i think
