RECORD SETTING ACTION: Thank you to everyone who left a comment the last couple days. I really appreciate it, everyone. It was awesome to read about all the people I didn’t know, and of course, the bastards I already know and love. You know the deal. What a pile! So fun.

I just always wonder: Who’s reading this stuff? I know there a lot of you out there. I’ve got my daily pile, and hell, it’s just fun to think about the connections, and different lives, and states, and countries, and all of it. Thank you.

A GREAT DAY: I had a great birthday. Leigh made the day very mellow for me. Thank you, lady!

01. Mini pizza party with Leah and Jacobus.
02. Opened a couple presents.
03. Late night viewing of The Exorcist.
04. Some Gary time.
05. Cake. A big, orange heart on chocolate, from Leigh.
06. Some Dead Moon for the record collection. Thanks, Dale!

36. Man. On the shitty side of “approaching the big 40 in my 30s.” So it goes.

I pledge to kick the shit out of 36. There you go.

WORDS TO LIVE BY: Make It Awesome! Futura Bold, brought to you by one Jeff Oeth. Good stuff. The font.

MAN, I LOVE THAT BAND: Wilco, a little rock-n-roll singing group from Chicago. You might’ve heard of them. Well, Nate Duval has, and made a poster for their recent Cedar Park, Texas show. Here’s proof, people. Nice work, Nate!

TWO OF MY FAVORITES JOIN FORCES: Monsters of Folk? Bunch of wimps. Jason Molina and Will Johnson collaborate, and friends, yet another reason to keep going.

Here’s a track off it. (Ryno, that Plains States cocksucker, tipped me off to this one on iChat this morning, and I promptly ignored him. Take that, little brother.)
