I left the parental compound yesterday for a bit. Had to go “into town” to mail some DDC Merch to some proud (and patient) customers. Gary went along for the ride, and we documented what it looks like when you go “down to Lake Ann.”

I’M NOT A MAN OF THE SEA OR ANYTHING, BUT DUG THIS: A big schooner or something with a couple Bicentennial logos on the sails. My favorite logo of all time. Mark “Torch Lake” Welsh sent this one in, from all the way out there in Portland, Ore. Thanks, buddy. See you in a couple weeks.

RIGHT HERE IN TRAVERSE CITY, EVEN: North Peak Brewery’s little beer bottles get ONE HELL of an update. Wow. The work was done by an outfit out of Minneapolis called, “Neatly Trimmed Beard.” Couldn’t dig up a link to them, so if anyone’s got it, cough it up. Nice work, MPLS!

I’m rolling up the sleeves for some fellas in Central Wisconsin right now, and can’t wait to get into the thick of it with them. They’re called “Farmer’s Brewing” and man, it’s gonna be a blast. A beer project. Very, very excited. That means you, Rohloff! Get ready to rumble.

Gorgeous job on the type above! Nice touch putting “downtown” in quotes.
Do you mind saying what typeface “Lake Anne” is set in? What The Font doesn’t work too well on connected scripts.

The North Peak design is awesome stuff. Here’s the link you’re looking for: http://www.neatlytrimmedbeard.com/Blank.html
From there both links for Luke Oeth and Josh Leutz take you to it, plus their other great work.
