I started another magazine today. This time around it’s our annual Women’s Issue. It’s shaping up to be a good one. All for the ladies. Alpine dames. Basher’s on the iChat out in Boulder, and we’re getting down to business.

All out of Mom and Dad’s dining room. DDC Mobile Command Unit, punching in for duty.

A QUOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT, YESTERDAY: “I Do Hope We Will Talk With Each Other And Not Over Each Other.”

Regarding the sheisters staging the so-called protests at the healthcare debates/townhalls across the land.

Incredible. I’m very proud to have him on top. I just feel there’s this great opportunity in front of us to try things from a new approach. I have great faith in President Obama. No Rush, Hannity or Cavuto can take that away from me. Bunch of snakes, those fuckers.

FROM OUT IN SEATTLE: The beginnings of Boeing: “The Boeing Story 1916-1958.” Tal Yellin tipped me off to this one. Thanks!

COMPLETELY BACK THIS: Rip it up, Afghanistan! Skateboarding opened a million doors for me, and for that I’ll be forever thankful.

I KNOW THAT ROUTE ALL TOO WELL: Tyler and Elsa and one hell of a cute wiener dog move out from the New York to Portland and make an infographic with a map and pertinent statistics. Awesome stuff. Know that route well. Like the back of my hand. Welcome to Portland, friends!

FROM A LONG TIME AGO: The Hand of God” in the old Union Carbide ads.

I watched an incredible documentary about the Yes Men late the other night on the World’s Longest Yard Sale. Impostors, shaming big corporations all over the globe. Union Carbide was their focus, staging apology campaigns claiming full responsibility for their environmental disaster in Bhopal, India, and how they failed to compensate the victims. Intense stuff. One stunt could drop the stock of a couple point in a day. Those are some big dollars. Bigger lies.

Big, harmful corporations = Dinosaurs. You are on yer way out.

The Halliburton suits were the fuckin’ best. So dumb, and so scary how those suits bought it like they did. You’ll have to see the doc to see how ludicrous it all is.

KING OF THE BREEDS: Keegan Onefoot comes in real hot, with some hot lead: A couple cool printer blocks of the Dachshund variety. Now that’s some good metal.

Politics are like assholes, but I think this is more an issue of basic human rights. If you see who and what companies are allowed into the congressional hearings on health care reform (and who is excluded, including the doctors that were forcefully removed and arrested), it does lend itself to something people should be lending another voice to.
