Saw The Story of Anvil last night at Cinema 21 up on 21st street. In all honesty, I walked out of it a smidge bummed. I mean, you can’t help but fall in love with the band, and they’re innocence and determination, but, something about it felt a little predictable or something. I mean, of course, you want them to slay it, and realize whatever dreams the band still is trying to attain, but it all felt a little, uh, “staged” or something. Man, I am such a dick. Scratch what I just said. Fuck it.

Like it matters. It was good. It was funny. It was warm. Upon further reflection, I loved it. I’d recommend it wholeheartedly. Go see it, metalheadz!
