Flying back to Portland today. Out of Boston town. Fingers crossed for dry roads back down there. Leaving the sticks for the city. Usually the other way around for me.

Thanks to Bob, Welsh and Goo for a cool couple of days back east.

TATTOOED FACES WILL ALWAYS BLOW ME AWAY: The Life of American Vagabonds. I mean, shit, I have respect for these nuggets. It ain’t easy just falling off the grid and existing out there in the cracks and shadows and all that. I saw a lot of kids along these lines during my time in Minneapolis. Some were just playing dress up, and some, you just knew, didn’t have any other choices. Pretty fascinating.

Portland’s got it’s share of the those with the “vagabond look.” A quick background check reveals crying parents in Beaverton more often than not. Fashion, it seems.

I work for a living. There you go.

FOUR ON THE FLOOR: Somebody—we’ll just call them “Woven Strap”—comes in with a cool ffffound link and one sentence exclaiming, “Awesome bottlecaps.” We agree. There you go. Thanks, Mr. Strap.

Those vagabond pictures are brilliant. Great lives. I’d used to visit the artist’s web page but it seems down
