Merry Christmas, all you naughty elves!

Last night Leigh and I hung out with her large, happy, laughing, jolly family. I ate way too much, talked to a kid about going to Iraq, caught up with everything McKolay and rounded out the night genuflecting at midnight mass.

First time I’ve been to church since I was 17. Nice service. Perfumed patrons. Traditions. Hope. Incense. Mysteries. Bread wafers. God blood.

Today, I’m with Mom and Dad and Sarah and Leigh, and we’re taking it easy all day.
