Call me a a namby-pamby, but, the sticky heat in this forest ain’t cutting it. Hey, Nature, I’m talking to you. It’s fall, motherfucker. Cool it down some, man.

A look at Erik Nitsche, the “Reluctant Modernist.” I love his General Dynamics stuff.

LITTLE_FIELD_NOTE_ICON.gif Field Notes is proud to use French Paper on its cover. Dur-O-Tone “Packing Brown Wrap,” to be exact. A family-owned and operated mill. Made in America. Real Good.

I think I am going to knock on their door on my way down to Chicago, to hand off some books to Jerry. Sounds like a plan.

Sometimes, you just wish you were 10 again: The Lego Sandcrawler.

Shit, I want this too.

I have a mountain of Legos out in Portland and this summer, when I moved upstairs and the spare room was freed up, I started drawing up plans to get my “Lego Room” in proper working order. Which means, more or less, everything spilled out on the floor. I’ve got a ton put away, and can’t wait to spill them out at some point to go nuts for awhile. Stay tuned. Not gonna let this one rest.

Just, so good.

I don’t want to grow up.

A board I made for Travis Rice and the Lib Tech snowboard company. Zoomify that that topsheet to see some of my handiwork.

A retro arcade Flicker set that is worth yer time, man.

DDC,

I saw the Travis Rice board design at the end of last season and loved it right away. I am no designer but I appreciate great design. Your design makes my list. The fact that it is a good board makes it more likely I’ll buy one this year. I’ll be sure to give you props when people ask about the design. By the way, what was the concept behind it? I have been checking out your site periodically for the last few weeks. I enjoy checking it out. I can’t even remeber how I found you, but I am glad I did. Thanks for the resource and happy trails.
