almost_summer_announcement.jpg

The warm months are upon us, and before we know we’ll be neck-deep in projects. We’re putting together a little get-together to kick off another great summer on the DDC Factory Floor. Meet the parents. Meet our sisters. Get barked at by a Gary. Steal something. Get fed. Get loaded. Get loose. Singles: Meet someone new. Couples: Go home with someone more interesting. We’re in America and we are free. Come out to the DDC and join us and let’s catch up before the summer gets too wild. Hope to see you there. If not, well, we’ll be making a list.

A couple years back we had a housewarming deal and a good number of folks showed up. Mom and dad were out to meet and greet. Dad kept everyone well-fed. There were families on the grass with little upstarts wobbling around. I gave tours to all who’d take one, showing off the property. The sun went down and the upstanding citizens left. Dave England got all hammered and dropped his drawers out on 67th Avenue then came inside and proceeded to chase my then girlfren Whitney around. Dick. Things went kinda late and I remember thinking, “Man, we shoulda had a band.”

So that’s what we might just pull off this year. Once the lights go down, we’ll have some band of ruffians set up to blow the roof off the joint. Negotiations are already taking place with a couple local outfits. There goes the neighborhood.

When you want the best, you enlist the best: Rod Snell is bringing his grill rig over. Check out a picture of it from some cook-out last summer.
Hot damn: Burgers, brats and Bocas burgers. You bet.

THIS JUST IN: Evan Rose and his Maja Bee will be attending.

NOTE TO THOSE MICHAYLIRAS: You better be here, or you are cut.

Though it’s near impossible to attend, I can admire that invite design over and over. Your DDC sign with Gary is perhaps the most awesome thing I will see all year in the graphics dept.

Nice graphic! Goddamn that’s got a good look to it. I need to do one of the goddamn Addams Family mansion here with a colossal goddamn neon sign hanging precariously off the front. I can’t tell from this size but I hope that brown crossbeam has some woodgrain on it to simulate a 2x4. If you need a refresher on what that should look like, refer to the Mountaineer Inn sign from Asheville. Love it.

I have to say… your vector skills are once again dropping my jaw!

Wish I could make it, but it aint exactly cheap getting out of Alaska at the last minute. Anyhow, the wife and I are toying w/ the idea of coming down to the P-Town in September (probably just in time for you to be tearing up the backroads of the Heartland) and would be interested in checking out the digs/workshop. Have a KICK-ASS party!

So when are you going to get a REAL sign like that built?

I feel that your home would benefit from the large DDC sign with Gary on it. It would make directions a-heckuva lot easier.

The party planners (Sarah, Leah and Mom) are getting their thoughts together; will attempt to make this an unforgettable time. Did you want the theme to be Star Wars, Yeti, Carhardt or Dachshund?

The catering committee (Mom, Dad, Sarah, Leah) has been discussing the possibilities and will come up with some unforgettable treats.

The clean-up committee (Mom, Dad, Sarah, Leah and Jacob) are usually reliable, but depending on the amount of alcohol allowed by the catering committee might determine the quality of clean-up.

Any and all ideas, suggestions and plain old help is welcomed.

The big grill is booked. I’ll bring the younger brother. I can’t wait to see Momma D. and Mr. D. I have a feeling the watermelon shirt may make an appearance. Have a safe trip and we will see you soon.

That house graphic is so dope. That needs to be in the next DDC T-Shirt collection.

I second George’s response….a good T…..actually, I’d like to see a sticker line and maybe an embroidered patch. Hell, I’d wear a jacket with that logo on it!!

( I want the house to reflect the NEW color…..whatever that may be)
