Back To Reality/Settling In...

The house is back up and running. Took a couple days to unload the rig and get everything in its place on the factory floor. The guys from the mag are here, across town at an undisclosed location readying words and photos for pages. We’ll start tomorrow and slay the third issue of the magazine this week.

It’s nice to be home, of course. Gary is doing fine. Resting lots and getting in trouble all over the pad. Just like the old days.

Tons of amazing transistor radios here.

Robbie Sell got me all fired up about old radios. I’m not budging on my new Tivoli, though. Very happy with it.

Farrar’s got a new one out called, “Gob Iron.” Digging it.

Read this one in basically one sitting. Wow.

Borat. Funny fucker. Just wanted to note that we approve of all things Borat at the DDC. Very nice!

A little birdie offered up the new Shins to us. Much happiness is felt.

Didn’t know there was a new Farrar out. Still waiting for the box set: “Space Junk-the Complete Studio Sessions and Outtakes.” Over 13 hours of unreleased and lost recordings from the famous “space junk” sessions, including the top-secret, previously unheard and legendary Space Junk XXVII, version 6.3 - said to be the penultimate Space Junk jam.

Told you years ago to start reading McCarthy. If you’d start listen’n to me, your life would be a whole lot better.

Hi there. I also like McCarthy and also really like Jeffrey Lent, whose writing is a bit similar. If you’ve not read him I recommend his In the Fall
He also has a book due out way into next year, A Peculiar Grace, and this one sounds super promising! Can’t wait.
