AT WAR WITH THE MYSTICS

The new Flaming Lips album, “At War With The Mystics,” has been leaked, a couple months ahead of the scheduled April release date.

Of course, we couldn’t resist. I mean, c’mon.

Some adventurous, new shit going on in their world. Once again! Challenging new sounds to fill up yer head. Their have been a million mixed reviews so far, and man, despite the naysayers claiming “…their time is up…,” we rejoice in the fact that we are blown away, again.

These albums means a lot to us. Really.

In other news, put yer hands together for Cam + Bonnie. They were married up last month on some remote Carribean Island.

And here they are: The newlyweds, right after the big vows.

Congrats and best wishes to the newly-annexed Barrett unit.

ive been reading a lot of dave eggers lately and stumbled across this response from eggers to a literary student/critic at harvard. its interesting to me in a ton of ways - the dismissing of critics and the rally cry to go out and create, for creations sake, for fucks sake. that said, the article reminded me of some things ive read of yours, and especially, eggers’ Flaming Lips example.

anyway, when you said that critics were mixed on the new album, i had no choice but to comment and link to the article. if you choose to check it out, stick with it, its most rewarding toward the end.

ps.
i work with a friend of yours whos now at burton - cristin d.
