Poster Fever
Posted at 11:42 PM

A pile of festive emails has come in requesting purchasing info on the “Seven Years of the Draplindustries Design Co.” poster. (Work example #8 in the previous post.) In all honesty, it was a piece that was printed out on postcards, and 11x17 laser prints. Small time stuff.

Which gets our gears turnin’ in our thinkers. Plans are in the works to get this produced, like, for real. Also, diggin’ even deeper and further updating it with the whole lot from the past eight years. (Upon thinking about it, we have been doing work under this moniker for some eight odd years. Our detailed bookworkings calculate our time operating the Draplindustries Design Co. weighs in at a whole eight big ones! Been a good run.) Maybe we should wait a couple more, and make it a “Decade of the Draplindustries Design Co.” production?

Big plans: Good paper, thick inks, nice and big, rolled up in a tube and shipped out to our friends, family and colleagues.

Calls have been placed. Sources both professional and “downright not-worth-a-shit” are working up quotes. We’d do our best to keep the price down low, of course.

If you are even remotely interested, drop a comment below. We are fairly confident upon perusal of such a fine item that we’d have you rooked into a sale.

Dude, you know I love anything with a label on it. I love to wear my DDC tee-shirt with my Old Navy hooded half-zip Sweatshirt, Ralph Lauren boot-cut cargo shorts, already-been-beat-to-shit-to-look-like-its-old Nautica cap, and my red, white, and blue Tommy Hilfiger yacht-club sneakers. And when I throw on my J-Lo for Hotbodied Men Eu de Toilet Cologne - you gots to know I’m steady telling the world who I am, and what I’m all about.
Its just my own, personal style.

I’d love a poster so I hope you don’t wait for the big “10”. DDC shirts sound pretty good too! How much longer before the little lady arrives? How is the weather there? Man, it’s been shitty here. Last weekend we had a terrible ICE STORM! Many were without power for days. (Only 12 hours here…..talk about internet withdrawal) Then, we got 6 fucking inches of snow, and then it rained agian. Finally it started to warm up on Wednesday, and today it’s going to be in the low 60’s.

Have a great weekend!

What’s up Aaron? Please sign me up for one of them beauties. Jen and I would love to get one for the den. Have a real nice day.

I am even remotely interested in yr fine, fine posters Big D. Please use caustic, lead-based inks on asbestos paper to ensure proper longevity and flame retardation, (for museums and the like).

Ryan, I thought your style was more like “Roll that Shit, Light that Shit, Smoke that Shit.” Am I mistaken?

I’ll buy that for a dollar (well, more actually).

I would definitely be interested in buying one of those posters too. I want to show it to my college class during a lecture, since I’m now a grad-professor critique professional in Arkansas.

Mr. Berling:

We’ll tell you this much right now: The DDC tariff placed on all goods shipped to California is subtantially severe. Be warned…this little piece (of inked-up trash) is gonna break yer bank, Mr. Moneybags.

PAY-T0-PLAY: Best of luck in Arkansas. Be sure to keep that Ozarkin’ beast in yer pants over summer break.

We appreciate yer enthusiam.
